Chapter History

From new college graduates, singles, mothers, working professionals to retirees, Seattle alumnae members represent a diverse population of dedicated women and community leaders advancing ZTA ideals. Our members attended universities all across the country and reside throughout the Greater Seattle area.

Meeting and event locations vary and occur monthly. A summer meeting is usually in July or August and is for officer training and calendar planning for the next year. In the fall, we usually hold a fun kickoff potluck and then partner with the Psi collegiate chapter to celebrate Founders Day.  In addition, we stay busy supporting a variety of Think Pink® events with the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders FC and the American Cancer Society.  In the winter we hold our annual holiday party and a few other events that range from crafting to chocolate tasting. Northwest Zeta Day is held in the spring with all of the chapters from Washington and Oregon joining together to network and celebrate our sisterhood.  We have an event each May with the graduating seniors to welcome them to the alumnae world and celebrate their graduation from UW.

In addition to monthly events, the chapter has special interest groups (Crown Connection Groups) that plan monthly or bi-monthly events, and the chapter's VP of Programming helps coordinate larger events with committee chairs. Visit the Activities tab to learn more about our Crown Connection Groups.
